About Your Guide
My love for fishing started as a youngster in Newfoundland fishing for trout in lakes and rivers.
We moved to Nova Scotia when I was 10, and not long after that my family bought a cottage on Moodie Cove, near the mouth of Pictou Harbour. Since then, I’ve spent my free time exploring Northern Nova Scotia's lakes, rivers and ocean waters, fishing small mouth bass, trout, mackerel, and of course the mighty Atlantic salmon.
When the striped bass fishery re-opened in 2017,
I soon got hooked fishing for them on the beautiful beaches and inlets of the Northumberland Strait.
Now after 29 years as a first responder, I’ve started a new adventure - Stripers of the Strait. As a certified Nova Scotia fishing guide, I’ll take you to my favourite fishing spots, set you up with quality fishing gear, help you hook some stripers and maybe even tell a few fishing stories. I'm also excited to offer walk and wade fishing for Atlantic Salmon and/or trout on the beautiful rivers in Northern Nova Scotia.
So join me on a Stripers of the Strait Adventure. Whether you're a first timer or an experience angler, there’s no such thing as a bad day of fishing.

Your Fishing Adventure Awaits!
Fishing Stripers on the Northumberland Strait
The Northumberland Strait is a tidal water body between Prince Edward Island and the coast of eastern New Brunswick and northern Nova Scotia. The Strait's shallow depths lend to warm water and is reportedly home to the warmest ocean water temperatures in Canada, and some of the warmest ocean water temperatures on the Atlantic coast north of Virginia.
The Northumberland Strait is rich in marine life and is home to thriving commercial fishery and recreational fishery. Striped bass in the Northumberland Strait spend the summer off our coast feeding on mackerel, herring and other bate fish. Stripers are fun to fish and because they are in tidal water, you are not required to have a fishing license.

My girlfriends and I decided to go fishing on very short notice. We contacted Sean and he graciously obliged to provide one of the most memorable days we ever had! Sean was so patient with us all and taught us how to cast properly. We were absolutely thrilled when we managed to get a ‘fish on’!!
