Calm Waters
As a first responder for 29 years, I learned early in my career how important it was to have a release. For me, fishing provided a way to be present in nature, away from the job and the stresses that went with it.
My love for fishing started at a young age. Early in my career, I discovered the joy of fly fishing and spent countless days on Northumberland rivers and the beautiful Maragree in pursuit of the mighty Atlantic salmon. I then discovered what I think is the most exciting recreational fishery on the East Coast - striped bass. Breathtaking sunups and sunsets, beautiful beaches, and lots of fish. What more could an angler ask for.

After almost a 30 year career, I'm ready to share my passion for this sport with other first responders. Each summer month, I will dedicate a day to the Stripers of the Strait Calm Waters program. Come join me and discover what fishing can do for your mental health.
